OUR TEAM

These faces help guide our life together. Come say hi to us during our gatherings!

greg amelung

Before serving as the Executive Pastor and Family Pastor I was a personal trainer and manager of a health club.

At Meadow Heights, for the first time in my life I found a church that aligns with what I think a church should be. The Big Dream and core values reflect so well what I believe.

I have a deep desire to help people live the best life possible and I am very passionate about family, the outdoors, and health (physical, mental, and spiritual).

I'm married to Ragen and we have two girls. We also run a beef business.

When we meet, ask me why I don’t like feet. ;-)

Jeremiah dietiker

I am the Community Pastor, Student Pastor, and a Teaching Pastor.

I’m very passionate about my family and I love the outdoors and all that comes with it.  If you’re around me long, you’ll notice I mix up my words and sometimes say things I didn't mean to say.

For example, when discussing wedding plans with a young couple, l said to them, “At this moment I'll pray a prayer and consummate your marriage.” What I intended to say was, “consecrate your marriage.”

Good grief... that was awkward.

Heather and I have been married since 2006 and we have three boys. We love our family time!

Ask me about my previous job as a banker when we meet.

I worked with a friend who was part of the music team at Meadow Heights. They invited me to help and play music a few times because they were short-handed. I was blown away by the love and acceptance of everyone I met so I agreed to help on the music team.

At first, I only came on the Sundays I was scheduled. Before long, I didn't want to miss a single message, and I started attending full time.

I am now the Gatherings/Connection Director.

I have a background in music and graphic design, which has equipped me to create an audio/visual experience for our gatherings.

I struggle with imposter syndrome. I don't think of myself as a leader, but I love to encourage others and help them realize their potential. I think that has made others value my opinion, look to me for help, and look to me to lead.

I want to be the one to believe in someone so they can believe in themselves.

I am a single father to four boys--one stepson, one biological son, and two adopted sons. They are my whole world. My mother is my biggest inspiration for what it looks like to be a good human. She and my stepdad are my biggest support system.

Ask me about my Marcus Gunn Jaw winking syndrome when we meet.

Before being asked to be the part-time youth pastor at Meadow Heights I was teaching English at the Fredericktown Middle School.

I am now the Lead/Teaching pastor and I feel like the luckiest one in the world to have served this one amazing church for more than 30 years. I'm grateful for the front row seat we've had to see hundreds of lives changed.

I love to renew old things and start new ones. I care deeply about clarity, simplicity and systems that serve rather than slow the mission. I am passionate about transforming tomorrow by kindling the dreams of others today.

Most of all, I love equipping people to ground their lives in God's love.

I am married to Brenda, the surprising love of my life. I'm the proud father of Amanda and Jason and best of all, Papa to five of the best gifts God could give us.

One fun fact about me: I am the 1982 Missouri State Shorthand Champion (trophy safely hidden away). Ask me about it when we meet.

I came to Meadow Heights for the first time in middle school, and it's been my church "home base" ever since. When I was asked to join the staff in 2012, I jumped at the chance to help other people find their home base here.

I am now one of the teaching pastors.

I’m passionate about helping people develop a picture of God that is consistent with the radical, self-sacrificial love revealed in Jesus.

My husband (Craig) and I have two very active little boys, Elliott and Lincoln. As a family, we love spontaneous adventures, being outside, really great stories (in book or movie form), and geeking out on whatever our current hyperfocus hobby happens to be.

I've learned so much about who God is and how he loves because of the life I get to share with these three incredible humans.

My brain will hold onto random, useless trivia forever... but I can make a list, set reminders, and have a whole conversation about it and then STILL forget the milk (or some other essential item) every time I go to the store.

I am the Student and Community Assistant and I have a deep love for the next generation and their parents. I am passionate about them knowing they are loved and created on purpose with a purpose.

My husband John and I live on a little farm just two fields over from my mom and dad. We call it The Lil' Shine and are currently in the never-ending remodel.

We have a Mini Australian Shepherd named Ruckus and a Mini Donkey named Dr. Love. Glitter, Ice, and Shimmer are my horses.

If there is a way to make it SHINE, I'll find it. Doesn't matter what it is. <3. ("Surround me with darkness, still I will shine." Ephesians 5:8)

We live a life full of love, family (including those with four legs), friends, lots of laughter and all things shine.

PS: I love the sound of horses grazing, but not people chewing.

I am the GoKids Director and the Financial Director. Prior to joining the Meadow Heights team, I worked eight years at a local bank.

Working with kids and their families is my true passion, especially children with special needs. They fill my heart.

I can truly meet families where they are because of my past experiences. I love to create opportunities for them to share life together.

Numbers are my second love. I geek out on reports and troubleshooting when something doesn't balance. (My banking background is very helpful!)

In 2004, I met someone (Jason) who swept me off my feet and we have raised three wonderful kids together. Our kids are all older now and starting to have their own families. The best part of that is getting to be "GiGi.”

When we meet, ask me how I gave myself a concussion playing nerf gun war.
